NMSAF Art Ambassador — The Peach, West Palm Beach

I was honored to be selected as an Art Ambassador with the No More Starving Artists Foundation (NMSAF), an organization committed to helping artists build sustainable creative careers through greater visibility, professional development, community engagement, and access to meaningful opportunities.

The mission behind NMSAF is especially important in a creative field where talented artists often face the challenge of finding the resources, connections, and platforms necessary to continue developing their work professionally. Through exhibitions, events, educational initiatives, and collaborations, the foundation works to strengthen the relationship between artists, communities, collectors, organizations, and the broader cultural ecosystem.

As part of the Art Ambassador experience, I joined fellow artists and members of the South Florida creative community at The Peach in West Palm Beach, where I painted live throughout the event. Live painting creates a very different relationship between artist and audience. Rather than encountering only the finished artwork, people are able to witness the process as it develops, the decisions, changes, layers, and moments of discovery that eventually become the completed piece.

The event also provided an opportunity to meet other artists, speak directly with visitors and art supporters, and participate in a space centered around creativity, conversation, and community. Experiences like these remind me that art does not exist only within the studio or on the finished canvas; it also lives through the relationships and exchanges that develop around it.

I’m grateful to NMSAF for the work they are doing to advocate for working artists and for creating opportunities where artists can be seen, supported, connected, and encouraged to continue building meaningful creative lives.
